Flood Relief Campaign in 2022 by Hameeda Alam Trust & PS Pakistan
Immediate Response: Upon receiving news of the flood disaster, PS Pakistan and Hameeda Alam Trust promptly initiated a relief campaign, mobilizing internal and external resources for swift action.
Fundraising and Resource Collection: A targeted fundraising drive was launched, successfully collecting funds to provide essential relief supplies, including food, medicine, clothing, and tents.
Relief Packet Preparation: Volunteers from both PS Pakistan and Hameeda Alam Trust collaborated to assemble comprehensive relief packages, containing food rations, medical supplies, and other necessary items for affected families.
Medical Team Mobilization: A team of three doctors was organized to provide medical care during the relief operations, focusing on basic healthcare, medical checkups, and treatment for the flood-affected population.
Transport and Logistics: Relief goods were transported by road to Bahrain, Swat Valley, which was the closest accessible location. Road access beyond this point was blocked due to flooding and landslides.
Partnership with Local Government: Collaboration with the KP Government enabled the use of helicopters to transport relief supplies and medical teams to the most inaccessible and remote areas where ground transportation was impossible.
Remote Area Distribution: In coordination with local authorities and community leaders, relief supplies were distributed to isolated regions that had received minimal or no assistance from other organizations.
Healthcare Provision: The medical team conducted health checkups and provided basic treatment to hundreds of individuals affected by the floods, addressing both immediate and emerging health concerns.
Community Support and Engagement: Engaging with local communities was key to the success of the operation, ensuring that the most vulnerable populations were prioritized in the distribution and medical outreach.
