Security Audit (SA)
The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a voluntary program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to strengthen the security of supply chains, particularly against terrorism. A CTPAT security audit involves reviewing a company’s supply chain practices to ensure they meet specific security requirements such as risk assessment report by partner suppliers and forwarders, access control, container and trailer security…etc.
Why CTPAT audit is important?
The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism is a voluntary program for importers. Participating in the program has a number of benefits, including; Reduced number of CBP examinations, Front of the line inspections, Possible exemption from Stratified Exams, Shorter wait times at the border. Conducting these audits will help ensure that a supplier is capable of helping you meet the minimum requirements of the C-TPAT.
The goal of the audit is to identify any gaps or non-conformities, provide recommendations for improvement, and
ensure that the factory operates in a responsible and sustainable manner while meeting global client expectations.
